Peach Cobbler

Peach cobbler. A summer delight. Fruit is nature's candy, and I try to take full advantage of that fact. Cobbler can be made with plenty of different fruits like: blueberries, strawberries, cherries, and apples.
Today I made it with peaches; from my garden. It is a really sweet dessert. I usually try to have it with a cup of tea or coffee. It's the perfect combo. If you don't know what a cobbler is; it is a deep-dish of fruit or something savoury covered with a batter that becomes a thick crust.
A little history: Cobbler was invented by the 13 British colonies that settled in America, due to a shortage of ingredients and cooking dishes. They improvised in the kitchen and cobbler was invented.I believe improvisation is a sign of a good cook, so I think the colonists had good chefs. It is thought that the word cobbler came from the now unused word cobbler meaning wooden bowl.

Peach cobbler, is a summer favorite. it's a dessert that can do justice to many fruits. apples, peaches, blueberries, strawberries...the list can go on. The way I see it, fruit is natures candy.
This recipe is truly simple. and i know thats said about a lot of recipes, but its just the truth about this one. it takes moderately long to make, a little over an hour, but seems so quick, it can be made on short notice. most the time is waiting around, glancing and drolling at the oven window. Something worth noting about the topping is that you don't want to over mix it, you want to see the butter in small chunks. that way you will get a more ?fluffy texture.
Using fresh and pitted fruit will deinitely give you a different flavor than canned fruit; and its your right to have an opinion to which taste better. We might make other cobblers in future posts.
We add a special ingredient to our cobber topping, which is oats. as I said before, I try modestly to make tiny changes to my recipes without compromising taste, to try and attempt a healthier lifestyle. I am actually thinking of doing a little more research intro making a completely oat topping. and when I find the result im looking for, i will not hesitate to share it with you guys!
